Check around with insurance brokers.
The contract agency I worked with provided benefits,
but at a much higher price than I found through
a broker at an insurance agency on my own.
This was for a family of 5.

<rant> If the process was set up properly, and
the documentation was good, there would be no
need for brokers! Think about it, all a broker does
is fill out the deliberately complicated paperwork.
Realtors, customs, insurance, title, etc </rant>

RD / asked "Does anyone have any good advice on getting health benefits as a contractor?"
