1. Go to
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=pdrv&platform=win
and download the Adobe Universal PostScript Windows Driver Installer 1.0.5
for English (or whatever language). Use that installer and an appropriate
ppd file to install a Distiller "printer." (It will launch a wizard.)

I have successfully used Acrobat 4.05c on Win2000. We didn't need to upgrade
to Acrobat 5.

2. If you want bookmarks and links to work, print to Distiller. I would
never use PDF Writer for anything.
