During my blue-collar days, I once had to take a lengthy "personality
test" that asked lots of questions about the morality of stealing from
your employer, and found no less than three different ways to ask if it
was ever okay to HIT a coworker. Despite what I thought were some very
pacifistic answers on my part, I never got a callback. But I was a little
relieved, even though I needed the work. It didn't sound like the safest
place to work.

When I worked on cruise ships I had to undergo a lengthy physical exam
prior to signing on each vessel, as all crew members were required to be
"able bodied seamen," regardless of their job. You can't board the Love
Boat until you turn your head and cough.
