There are a lot of books listed on the WinWriters web site:

I went to the conference, and found that Ben Shneiderman was one of the
best speakers. I'd recommend anything he did; in his workshop on universal
usability, he gave a lot of links to explore; you can find more material
at:

mainly dealing with accessibility issues)
