Natural language translation is still a quite hideously
difficult computational problem, one that I believe where
the tactic of just waiting a few more computer generations
for the hardware to get to a point where it can just
smash the problem under the weight of teraflops won't bring
the technology up to Star Trek standards. Using a time
machine to plunder the technology of the future is
cheating, by the way....
