I'm one of those naive writers who assumes that users
pretty much know how to use computers. [Insert sound
of hearty laughter here.]

I generally write procedures assuming the user intends
to complete the task, not stop halfway through it.
Assuming the UI is well designed (i.e., clicking the
Cancel button actually cancels the operation at hand
and returns the user to the prior screen/window), I
would not document the Cancel button.
