I don't think it's plumbing ducts the tape is intended for, I think it's heating ducts.

Water knows WAAAAAAY too many ways around things...air is more stupid.

I've seen a Consumer Reports article lately that said it didn't work for
it's intended plumbing use--sealing ducts!
