Posting questions here just demonstrates that you can't think of everything!
I never mentioned in my original post that we don't have a QA department per
se: QA is spread throughout the company.

As I suspected, the overwhelming vote was to have someone unfamiliar with
the script do the onscreen review in order to catch the mistakes the writer
has already overlooked a number of times.

So when they ask me why I'm recommending this approach, I'll say 'industry
