TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I find it ... amusing that I'm the one
being accused of "trolling" when this list
has been lately inundated everything from
racist rubbish to attempts at making tenuous
connections between cultish political
philosophy figures to technical writing.
I decided to nip this one in the bud before,
say, an adherent of L. Ron Hubbard starts
arguing that he in fact invented Techwritingology,
while opponents argue that at a dinner with
Heinlein back in the 50s, L. Ron actually
said said "Starting a religion for $10,000
a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants
to make a million dollars, the best way would
be to start his own tech writing consultancy."
Then again, if Rand did actually write
a tutorial for Word macros, I'm quite
willing to read it.
