Of course, he may want to capture two windows like this:

If so, there could be some "noise" in the unoccupied areas (upper right and lower left) of a rectangle that includes both windows.

Nevertheless, with only PrintScreen and Paint, you can snap the full screen, crop to a rectangle, and erase what you don't want.

Of course, there are lots of good, low-cost alternatives to the free tools.
