Do mention your distress to your new boss, and the fact that you will try to
live with it. Since he thinks the arrangements are just fine, he may
attribute your lack of concentration to you personally, not the conditions.
No point in getting off on the wrong foot.

BTW, Bose makes these white-noise headphones....
