You fail to mention the important printer info.

However, File > Print should print a PDF correctly from pretty much any
app, including Interleaf/Quicksilver. Of course, assuming the art is in
the files in question and it prints okay to a regular printer.

In short, in Win 3.x, 9x, NT 4, 2000, and now XP (never used ME or NT
3.51), I have never seen the problem you describe.
