Hi:

1) The part-time thing sounds good. It might keep some income trickling
in while freeing you up to do a job search for other contracts.

2) Updating and broadcasting your resume is a no-brainer. Of course you
should do that.

I've done the above. It served its purpose for me. And, it helps avoid
burning any digital bridges.
