Yeah,

What are those, autorecover and undo info? That'd be scraps, at best.
Heck, the OS should delete anything with a TMP extension at shutdown.

Word creates one of more files with the extension TMP when you open a
Word
document. Try changing the extension to .doc and see if they open in
Word.
