Hi Susan,

How big is the document? Will it need all the bells and whistles that Frame provides? Graphics referenced, x-references, variables, TOC, Index, lists, markers, etc.?

If you don't have to maintain it you shouldn't really care. If you have to do it in Quark, it will take a little longer, and if they don't have the extensions for Quark that allow you to do things like TOC, tables, and index, you are going to do it manually.

Mention that to them. Quark is good if you are going to obsess over things that 99% of the population won't notice with the naked eye.

You can make pretty text with FrameMaker, you just cant do tracking at 1/144 increments (which, by the way, cannot be noticed without a magnification aid).
