Hi Darren,
I don't have any stats, but I would think that if the document I want to
refer to is huge, say 50 pages and more, I would go to the TOC and check
for where I can go to to get the info I want right away. So my interest
would be not in reading the whole document but in reading the relevant
pages cos' that better serves my purpose. In which case, the 'completion'
measure would have to be qualified on the basis of threads of
thought/concept/idea etc.
Of course in the case of 3-5 page articles, I would think that the whole
doc would need to be read in order for the reader to get my message. And
if he doesn't do this, then it's not so much a navigation issue but one of
relevance.
Would also like to hear what others have to say...
