Yes, I freely admit that I am probably *not* in the
target audience for either the watch or the writing.
And I agree with /kevin that the product documentation
was probably written by a male. (I think it was the
"timing a walk to the toilet" part that cinched that
for me.)

That said, I though the humor was okay, not great or
wonderful or hilarious, but okay. Maybe a little
repetitious at times, maybe a tad forced. The writing
style, however, is terrible. It's verbose. It is full
of future tense when present would do just as well if
not better. And the author misused "effect" to mean
"affect". Well, okay, most of the people who buy the
watch won't know or care about that, I suppose, but
still.

Different? Yes. Humorous? Sort of. Good? Not hardly.

For everyone who thinks that the instructions for the watch are not funny, please go and take a look at the product. The Timex website has pictures and descriptions of it at helix.timex.com. If you decide that you would not buy the watch, you are not its target audience, which may be part of the reason why you do not find it funny.
