Sorry about that. A key combination I used was not the right one for my sig.
At any rate, 5% is quite high unemployment. Until today, it's even been
impossible for me to get a regular temp job. Now I've got one (if it doesn't
evaporate overnight, that is). Pays obscenely little, but I have to take it.
While it appears that the job market is improving slightly here for
technical writers/editors, its pace is excruciatingly slow.

It would be interesting to see actual STC statistics on out-of-work
membership. For those of you who are looking, though, I can tell you that
it's worth posting your availability on your chapter's Web site.
