The online help for FrameMaker 7 is okay; it's better than FM6. The
online help for WebWorks Publisher Pro 7 is pretty good. The online Help
for Word XP is slick but not useful. The online help for RoboHelp
through version 9.2 was pretty poor. Getting back to FrameMaker, I don't
know and would not assume they use technical writers either. And, I
don't know that the folks who are using FrameMaker have ever used it in
a get-work-done, production environment.

Cheers,

Sean

Okay, while we're decrying Yahoo's deplorable practice of not hiring a
bevy of tech writers, answer me this:

Which is worse?

* the Help links on Yahoo, or
* the <loosely used term> online help </term> provided with that
hallowed product that so many tech
writers pedestalize as representing all that is good in tech writing:
Adobe FrameMaker

Be honest, now...
