I have a new assignment at my job. I am working for a newly formed QA group and I will become the Requirements writer. The Requirements will be formed through a process of a "Compact Requirements Document" (for which I will be developing a template) filled out by the Business Analyst and the user. This will be reviewed (if time allows) by QA, then it will form the input for a JAD session. From the JAD session I will complete a more detailed Requirements Document and that will be used by the testers for Test Plans/Cases.

Do you have any experiences or insight you feel you could share to illuminate me? Any resources about Requirements gathering or writing -- websites and/or books?

Note: I have written Requirements before, but my main audience was developers, not testers. I have been reading the article on the Raycomm site, and do have some templates available including some I've created. I'm looking specifically for the QA/test angle, but also will be glad to hear any other related info just for the learning value!

Thanks,
Rosie
