Not all by itself... but you won't have to use OpenOffice. The
point is the file spec will be open, so any other product can
integrate the new OASIS format.

If MS implements XDOCS correctly they might nip it in the bud.
But my bet is that XDOCS will be based on an XML unlike any XML
you've ever seen before.
