Earlier this week, there was a brief thread about alternatives to Microsoft products, and how much of a threat they were to Microsoft.

I still don't know how much of a threat they are, but Microsoft seems to be worried. It's recently made some small changes to its new licensing in the hopes of keeping customers from making a switch. See:
