Adjusting for size, The US economy is significantly larger than any of
these:
Per Capita GDP for these countries:

USA: $36,300
Switzerland: $31,100 (85% of US)
Denmark: $28,000 (77% of US)
Finland $25,200 (71% of US)
Sweden: $24,700 (68% of US)

All figures are for 2001.

All of the above are prosperous democracies with market-oriented (rather
than command) economies. The differences in economic principles are small
compared with other economic systems.
