1) Yes. See www.pdfzone.com or www.planetpdf.com for third-party
utilities. Acrobat 5 has a limited save as RTF function. Oh, and maybe
Omnipage can do this by scanning a print-out of the PDF.

2) Not really. Acrobat simply is not a word processor and does not store
that info. Consider it to be an electronic version of the printed
page--the book on your shelf wouldn't contain formatting info useful in
Word even though it is laid out.

3) Not really. Best bet: third-party utilities. This seems the same as
#2.

4) Doubtful. See #1.

Cheers,

Sean

Quick 4 questions to all - I need to convert several, varying old PDF
files to Word Documents. Cross posted to Hatt list

These PDF are of varying age and settings and format - But due to
consistence issues and others (lets not go there) need to be upgraded
(From Word - No choice here) but kept the same.

>From the Archives - I see Lots on PDF to Word / Framemaker / ect.
But not on PDF to whatever.

So My Questions are

1 Is there any way to convert PDF documents to Word ?

2 Is there a way of keeping the text / style formatting ?

3 Apart from Coping page for page or Selecting Copy all and
Paste to Word reapplying the old styles - is there a better way ?

and last question anything on the Freeware / shareware / demo market
that will make this conversion process less painful ?
