There is a difference. A "BS" is a Bachelor of Science degree, and a "BA" is
a Bachelor of Arts degree. But I was under the impression that a BA required
taking a wider range of courses and was thus more valuable, so I don't know
why your HR people would get upset (except that it's a discrepancy).

There's a bigger difference between putting "university" instead of 'college"
(colleges yearn to become universities), and biggest is the difference
between "BA" and "MA" 8^)
