Dan,

I've had similar experiences with Visio OLE objects not working correcly in Word(especially attributes of lines - color and so forth).

The best I've been able to come up with is using Paste Special (under the Edit menu) and picking "Picture" instead of "Visio Object." An added advantage is reduced file size.

Of course, then you can't edit the image (except with the rudimentary but useful Word drawing tool), but I've corrupted many a Word doc by doing too much OLE editing in them anyway.

If anyone else has a better solution, I'd love to hear it. Please cc me, as I'm on digest.

HTH,

Eva

Has anyone seen this one before? A drawing created in Visio has rectangles
with dashed lines (Pattern 16 in Visio). When the Visio drawing is
embedded in a Word document, those lines become solid, both on the monitor
and on the printed page.
