Yep. Last year, in fact.

Not at all. The experience was (and still is) considered an asset.

You might hear the occasional comment about consultants making money by prolonging the problem (thanks to Despair.com) or that people hire consultants to tell them what their own watches say, but for the most part, the consulting experience is what gets you in the door.
