and THAT'S the EXACT point of a persona. It's something everyone knows, understands and uses. It helps to gel a design, as long as there is buy-in from all the appropriate people, and it provides common language and short-hand. So, instead of John going around saying "what would a user do in XXXXX situation?" and getting a mix of half answers and nebulous responces because the SME can see far too many possibilities, John can just say Igor, and get a clean answer! Short. Sweet. To the point. :-)
