I'm a bit embarrassed to ask such a basic question, but it is getting really frustrating, so here goes...

When I set Word 2001's prefs (Macintosh version) so it won't "When selecting, automatically select entire word", it won't keep this setting.

I may be imagining this, but it seems to follow a document, not stay with the application.

I want to set it once and have it "stick", always.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dave
