I tend to agree.
So do I.
However, I'd add that this isn't really a problem of accuracy, but of level of detail - or of granularity, if you prefer. When you stop to think about it, BOTH Dana's choice and the engineers' are correct. Dana's choice simply omits details that users either don't care about or else assume anyway. It's just as accurate as the engineers' choice, but not as detailed.
