I started my TW career in 1991, during a time that was not
unlike the present, economically and politically. I landed my
first TW job by looking simultaneously in four or five different
geographical markets. I would have accepted a job in any of
them. I started looking about a year before graduation, and
landed a job six months after graduation, for much less than I
wanted.

Sure you could probably find a job even now, given enough
perseverance. But my advice is to stay in school if you can
afford to. Get an advanced degree, in something other than
English or technical communications.

If you want to be a software TW, start learning some hands-on
software engineering - a programming language, networks, and
databases.

Regards,
Mike O.
