I've delivered newsletters from FrameMaker in
landscape 11x17. The only thing I expect you'd have to
deal with is using an appropriate number and width of
text columns, especially for that content which you'd
normally put on US-letter.

Personally, depending on the material, I'd prefer
11x17 landscape to be hinged at the top of the long
edge <vbg>, rather than on the short side. That way,
it has less effect when I open it and is stronger . .
.. But, duplexing that would be a pain, and I've never
done it. ;?P
