Yay CB! Finally someone pointing out that the Emporer has no clothes.

It amazes me the complexity that so many attribute to ISO when the entire
process that they have to follow is their own fault. I repeatedly see three
MAJOR errors committed by organisations that adopt ISO 9000 standards. One is to
document the "ideal" process and not the one they follow presently and
additionally making it rediculously complex for no apparent reason. Two, is
adopting rediculously complex processes from others because they believe that to
be ISO you have to do the same thing as every one else. Three is making process
changes long and arduous when they could be quick and dynamic.

If you want to have your ISO processes prove that you incorporated changes, just
keep sign off forms and ditch the review copies.
