So far, it appears that all the "trying"
needed on the part of those who don't want certification is to do nothing to
help make it happen.
That's not altogether true. While some people have questioned the need for certification, others are exaggerating the difficulties and talking as though these difficulties had never been met by any other group in the past. I don't think it's reading too much into the situation to say that these exaggerations are a way to discourage any effort.
