Boy, Amber, you just can't help yourself, can you? What makes you think that people who wear suits are more important than you? They're just further up the hierarchy right now. Maybe they're just so insecure that they think customers won't respect them if they don't dress like that. Maybe they're just so unimaginative that they think the only way to be successful in this world is to fool people into thinking they're competent by looking the part.

Could they do what you do? I doubt it. So are they more important than you are? Maybe from their point of view, but I hope not from yours!

Look people in the eye, shake hands firmly, and forget about what they're wearing. After all, they put their pants on one leg at a time just like you do.

As for what to wear to the office, wear what you're comfortable in and don't worry if other people make other choices.

Remember, when Shakespeare put "clothes make the man" into Polonius's mouth, he was mocking the bombastic old fart.
