If you're looking for the SIC (Standard Industrial Classification), writers are
grouped in 8999 (which includes everything from physicists to greeting card
writers). You can find more information at
http://www.osha.gov/oshstats/sicser.html

I'm not sure if that answers your question--what exactly do you want to know?
Overtime exemptions? Pay scales?
