A few thoughts here:

1. These are consulting indexers? Why are THEY calling
the shots for YOUR company's projects?

2. If they are not providing you with what you need
from them, are they doing the work requested?

3. There are lots of out of work tech writers who
would probably love to index your books using markers
in FrameMaker.

4. It's Friday. Go home, enjoy your weekend, rest up,
and come in on Monday ready to give them hell. ;)

OK, well, three serious thoughts here anyway...
