I guess the point of my question is:

Does it matter?

Does it really matter if the file I give to a printer
is divisible by 8? I mean, these people have brains,
right? They can take a 125 page file and set it up for
signature press, adding in the extra 3 blank pages
right? They don't need an astute tech writer to build
those blank pages in for them, right?

Of course, this assumes I don't give a flying
fudgecicle whether the pages are blank, or say they're
intentionally blank (who invented that stoopid
practice, anyway?... a page with type on it isn't
blank...), or are ruled for comments, or have photos
of David Hasselhoff or Meredith Baxter (Birney) on
them...

This doesn't seem to be rocket science. It's pictures
on paper, for cryin' out loud... sorted on a
segmented, symmetrical matrix...

Heck, my kids have figured out how to create a 4-leaf,
8 page storybook of their own using a single 8.5x11
sheet of paper...
