Interesting question, Dana. Judging by the two of us, it
would seem that writing skills show up early. By the time
I was in HS, I'd dump out a first draft the night before a
report was due and get comments like, "you write so well!"
and, "inciteful and well organized!" I was always a voracious
reader and writing always seemed easy.

Did anyone on this list have to struggle to learn to write?
Or, for that matter, not show much interest in writing until
out of school?
I'm curious!
