I recently (within the last 2 years) left an 11-year gig at AT&T Labs. The Style Guide that we used was called the Multiweight Design and contained a series of FrameMaker templates. The style guide is a proprietary document described as the "official Documentation Architecture containing a set of standards for the content and format of documentation intended for all postsale, external-customer documents typically delivered with or in support of a product or service."

There also was an AT&T EasyLink Documentation Style Guide that was developed for Consumer Products projects
