Ok, before I pull out any more hair.

I'm trying to create gifs from images in Visio 2000 that comes into FM
without resizing and looks good, and that when the FM is converted to
HTMLHelp, the images are within acceptable help displays.

As an example: I have a Visio created on letter landscape format. I want the
image to fit in a FM graphic frame that's 6.9 wide by 5.2 high.

In Visio, I save to GIF. From the setup dialog, I've tried setting the
RESOLUTION to screen, printer, and source, and specifying resolution of
96X96, 300X300, and 600X600

I've tried setting the SCREEN to screen, printer, and source and have
specified output size at 6.9 X 5.2

The results is usually poor resolution, and always way oversize images that
I need to resize down to the dimension.

I've even tried resampling the images using an outside program (Ulead's
SmartSaverPro 3.0) and that solves the size problem by results in poor
resolution.

has anyone come up with an acceptable method of generating GIFs from Visio
that work in both FM and HTMLHelp?

Thanks
