Paul,

I am sure there are a great many employers who will find ways to evade the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, especially when we are in a buyer's market for all kinds of skills. However, I am just as sure that there are many companies (certainly the vast majority of large corporations) that do their best to comply with the ADA.

If you can persuade a prospective employer that you can add value because of your expertise and can produce timely deliverables with reasonable accommodation (the necessary software and a space to use it where you won't disturb your neighbors), I can think of no reason you shouldn't be able to find work (other than the general softness of the labor market, which neither you nor I can control).

Good luck,

Dick
