After responding to Vlad Dracul's original question, a second thought
occurred to me. Given that "the company follows a three-month release
cycle", you should have an even easier task convincing them to freeze the
interface quickly: "Guys, even if we can improve the interface now, that's
just delaying the current release. Worst-case scenario is that if we need to
tweak the interface, we can do it every 3 months, in time for the next
release. So let's agree on a quick freeze during each release cycle, with a
total of four rounds of updating the interface per year (i.e., every 3
months). That'll make everyone's life easier, and will give us time to
iteratively improve the interface as we go!"
