Documents *are* data to be transferred and shared.

Amazon offers its catalog as a free reference database; maybe other vendors
will follow suit.

Now that Amazon offers an XML API, and Office has acquired an XML back end,
it is a no-brainer to create an interface to Amazon. If Amazon didn't
provide it, someone would have written a VBA module to do it anyway.

So you can probably write a similar Office add-in for any other web service.
For example, maybe it's possible to write a Word routine where you feed it
an ISBN number, and it returns an APA-formatted bibliographic reference -
that would be cool.
