Yes. They will need all the credibility they can buy to get the market to
swallow the next generation of features - activation, DRM, self-destructing
documents, reverse incompatibility, self-extinguishing licenses, etc...

They only need to maintain about 6% or so of unemployed losers to keep the
employed ones in line. I'd say their plan is going well.
