Mostly to tweak Guy (who frequently views with alarm the latest news from
India), I wrote:

John Posada, who is much more observant than I, replied:

Oops, I didn't notice the date. Well, the hiring could still have been aimed
at FM8, assuming that it's a really big project (Unicode support? XML
round-tripping? major interface enhancements?).

Or maybe all those new people have been hurrying to finish up 7.1, and we'll
be able to judge their work in a few weeks. :-)
