Unshortened, a link itself often provides a certain
amount of information. If someone sends an e-mail saying
"Hey, look at this" followed by a link to
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/10/technology/10novell.html ,
we can guess it's something about Novell from the technology
section of the New York Times, 10 Nov 2003. If someone
says "Hey, look at this" and points to a tiny url, we have
a lot less to go on.

Anyone using a tiny url should provide some minimum of
information about where it links to. Is there someone
I can write to in order to request that this point be
registered as a new official netiquette rule? Nemily Post?
