Not in my experience. Except when working with other professional writers and editors in a peer review situation, I have never found it advantageous to have other people mucking in the document. It has always been faster for me to digest their suggested changes and insert them myself (one pass, correct the first time), than to fix other people's "corrections" to my text. It just takes more therbligs, no matter whether you use mouse, keyboard, or both, to jump around fixing a word here, a word there (within the scope of a single edit), than to look at the suggested change on paper or in a separate window and simply enter it yourself.
