I guess my question for Jan is why design for the majority? If you aim to please everyone, or a majority of them, don't you end up with a product that will please none of them? It's the "Try to add everything that everyone wants and you get something that no one can use" theory.

Oh, and sorry for that previous post, I'm on digest and didn't check out the thread index before sending it.
