<Uncloaking from LURK mode to respond to the question about who's a
published writer, et cetera.>

Try this link: It leads to lots of rich information
about the writing life.

I've been looking for job openings for fiction writers since I and 5000 of
my closest friends lost our jobs at Kemper Insurance here in America's
heartland. No openings for fictions writers, yet. Friends suggest the job
market for poets may be better.

The annual average income for fiction writers - at least ten years ago -
was about $5000. That'd prolly buy several of those top shelf fancy-dancy
flavored Starbucks drinks a day.
